Pillars of a Changing World
Simplification: In a world reaching its ecological limits, exponential GDP growth tightly coupled to exponential energy use may not continue forever. The end of this trendline would have likely consequences that are non-linear, difficult to predict, and may destabilize rigid top-down authority structures and brittle infrastructure.
Decentralization: Ahead of failing top-down authorities and brittle infrastructure, investing in tools and infrastructure that allow decentralized groups to make decisions, share resources, and create together.
Migration: Accelerating climate change and crumbling of status quo infrastructures, paired with transformational decentralized technological infrastructures, will lead to great migrations of people to places more comfortable, habitable, and arable.
Islands of Coherence: In a chaotic system far from equilibrium, small islands of coherence have the capacity to shift a system into a higher order. Through all of our activities we seek to create and up-regulate islands of coherence.
